The Met Gala ball which traditionally holds every first Monday in May, is back on schedule this year. While the event could not be held in 2020, it was postponed to September in 2021 due to the pandemic restrictions. Following the return of the 2021 Met Gala red carpet in September, this year’s attendees are celebrating the opening of the second installment of Costume Institute’s  “In America: An Anthology Of Fashion” exhibit. The two-part show, on view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art until September 2022, concludes with an exploration of 19th- and 20th-century fashion through the “sartorial narratives that relate to the complex and layered histories” of the United States.

Thanks to the night’s theme, “Gilded Glamour,” celebs, designers, and beauticians were able to flex their fashion history muscles in a glorious display of sparkles and glamour. To be considered one of the best dressed on fashion’s biggest night is quite the honor. Not only for the celebrity dishing the extravagant look on the red carpet but for the designer, beautician and entire team behind it. From stylists to photographers capturing the most beautiful of moments , when it comes to the Met Gala, everyone plays a very important role in making the most important night of fashion a glamorous one.

Below are some of the head-turning appearances of the night.
